Some
families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned
about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One
of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
Communication
is the key word. A lot of people use the telephone...but tend to call family members only in emergencies. This site is for
helpful information as well as for fun. I hope that you will be able to communicate more with this family as well as stay
informed about your other family members.
Most of our family
information was obtained from our family historian Lottie Knight of Hampton Virginia, who is the oldest living descendent.
In the course of copying her research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible! I would
also personally like to thank her for going out and paving the way so my job would be much easier.
God
bless you!
Acknowledgments
This is for all my family! This is also for future generations, A special thanks to
my ancestors for not giving up even though they suffered immensely, my son and husband who encouraged
me to do this site.
The reason I am starting this site is because I was disappointed that a lot of my family did
not show for the 2005 reunion. A lot of people said it was because of ??????? Get the idea: Most people are on the web
now, checking email or logging on to sites...Why not a informative site about our family! That way no one has an excuse of
not being updated about anything...
Why should we keep this site up? For future generations, as well as, a better means
of communicating. Everything is technology now, so why not be a technical family.
I hope to keep this site up with much support. So family this is for you: ENJOY!
